Russian Clients Travel All the Way to Huayu Transformer—And Spend the Whole Morning on the Shop Floor

These weren't casual visitors. They came with a concrete project in hand. Several rounds of emails had already gone back and forth—technical specs, pricing, delivery schedules—all nearly settled. What remained was the final, non-negotiable step: an in-person factory audit. As they put it, "Trust is good, but seeing is better."

The head of Huayu Transformer's International Trade Department accompanied the group throughout the visit. First stop: the production floor.

To be honest, the shop tour ran quite a bit longer than usual. The Russian clients looked closely and asked even closer questions. At the winding station for oil-immersed power transformers, they leaned in to inspect the coil arrangement, then asked about insulation paper brands and temperature ratings. Over in the 110kV assembly area, they probed deeply into the details of core drying procedures and vacuum oil filling. Later it became clear why—winters in their part of the world are brutal, and the demands on a transformer's cold-start performance and insulation reliability are unforgiving.
